Lesson Number One - Mulan by Dalia, made at DoInk.com The awful semester is over and I’m finally free! Instead of doing anything useful, I made some Mulan fanart :D :D  Mulan - Little Brother by Dalia, made at DoInk.com

Life simply explained
So if a picture is worth a thousand words, I wonder how many words an animation is worth…  This animations is based on a true story… and I’m not a pessimist, it’s just rain has personal issues with me u_u  Life: simply explained by Dalia, made at DoInk.com

Colors
Colors by Kira Willey is one of my all time favorite songs. Yesterday I was bored (nothing new here) so I made an animation for the song. I didn’t spend much time on it and now it looks kinda awful u_u  Fact: animating is fun!  Anyway, it’s up to you, you can either: 1. watch the animation with audio but with bad quality, here: . . 2. watch the animation with awesome quality...

Inspiration: I need it!
Every time I try to draw something, I end up making doodles of absolutely no meaning. My skills are degrading and drawings are getting more childish with time, but it’s so much fun to draw those characters I don’t even care about drawing skills anymore ^_^ Sorry to all Disney fans about the Megara attempt up there…

Webcomic + Game Walkthrough
It’s about time for an update…  I’ve been following this pretty cool webcomic for a while. It’s about a bunch of geeks with ambitions…  It’s called Not Invented Here. Updated frequently…  (you might enjoy it more if you start reading from page#1) Another thing worth sharing is this new game on Kongregate: One and One Story. Found about it two days...

MIDI keyboard project using arduino uno (1)
I’ve had the idea of this project for a while: to turn an old toy keyboard into a MIDI keyboard. But only today I started working on it… It turned out to be way easier than I thought, and I almost finished writing the code. Had to test it (or part of it) on a keypad cuz the keyboard isn’t ready yet. Arduino scans the keypad for changes (buttons pressed/released) and sends the...

AmmanTT E-ftar Edition: A review
WARNING: Long post ahead!   For an unbiased feed/view of the event, read here! (Arabic)  I’m probably always over-excited about something, and this month’s subject (or one of many subjects) for my over-excitement was: AmmanTT E-ftar Edition.   I attended, and, well I was a little bit disappointed! Again, probably because of my over-excitement. But over all it was pretty cool! I...

Summer Cleanup - Unfinished Projects (1)
Project No. 1: a simple game A project started by me and one of my friends. The game’s idea belongs to that friend (who can come up with the coolest game ideas)! I did the graphics and part of the coding, then got stuck and never finished it. The man with the black shades and blue suit was supposed to be the main character.  I loved making the graphics for this game, and I learnt so much...

The perfect cup of coffee
Photo credit: wutu from morguefile.com The weather has been terribly hot for the past week, and I’m in dire need of coffee, but: Hot coffee + the weather today = A REALLY BAD IDEA!  So I decided to invent my own (instant) iced coffee :D after some experimenting, I’m glad to say IT WORKED! I made iced coffee and it tasted like Starbucks frappuccino. So if anyone’s interested,...

Google+
slimfadi: If you haven’t been living in a cave, you would’ve know by now that there’s a new giant social network out there, Google+. It’s still in the invitation only mode now, if you have a gmail account write it in the comments and I’ll send you an invitation. In short, Google took all the negative feedback people have about facebook, and built one that makes it hard for the critics to...

Favorite Flash Games
As mentioned in my last post, I have a lot of plans for the summer break, and I’m doing absolutely NONE of them! I’ve got so addicted to games (esp. short flash games that don’t take longer than 2 hours to beat) that I can’t think of anything but games and KONGREGATE all time! Sometimes it feels like I’ve played every single game on Kongregate yet my hunger for flash...

Summer Break + Gimp
It’s finally here: The long-awaited summer break! And I have a long list of plans and things to do (which of course, I’ll end up doing less than half of them).  The first thing on my to-do list is to try Gimp & GPS (Gimp Paint Studio). I’ve had Gimp installed on my PC for almost a year, but never thought of trying it. I’m more of a Photoshop person, but then I saw some...

May 13, 2005: An old blog post
I was looking at some old posts, and I found this 6-year-old post. Since I’m not in the mood of writing anything new, I thought you might enjoy reading it (or not) :D  I Am Happy Yesterday was my birthday. Now I am 14 years old. 14 Years old!! I can’t believe that. I can’t imagine it, I don’t know why but I can’t.I didn’t have a birthday party. Because I...

بالبغدادي: Democamp Amman

WHAT I WANT TO DO (1) : READ THE WHOLE BBC BIG...
One of the things on my “To-do” list is to read every book mentioned in the BBC big read list. There are 200 books in the list, so it’ll take me years to finish, but I’m fine with that. I’m working on the first 100 books now. Progress (24/100) BBC Big Read: Top 100 books - 1 The Lord of the Rings, JRR Tolkien (Really want to read it) 2 Pride and Prejudice, Jane...
